I love photographing weddings for many reasons. It is a blend of various styles of photography, from still-life to portraits to fashion to editorial/reportage...all while the clock is ticking, which makes it a great challenge to do these all well. Secondly, to do all of that while remaining a calm and personable presence that enhances the enjoyment of the day by my clients. Third, there's no greater joy than walking into a home that is decorated with my framed images, a wedding album on their coffee table...clients relive their day through my images as the memory slowly fades, and eventually they are passed on to the next generation. It is a great honor and responsibility to capture everything that day...one of the last remaining rituals in our society and the bringing together of all their family and loved ones.
